Tucker named MEC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — MaKatlyn Tucked scored four goals over the course of two games for the West Virginia Wesleyan women’s soccer team including a hat trick to claim the title of Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. 

Tucker only needed 14 minutes to tally three goals against Alderson Broaddus in the 3-0 victory on Wednesday, Oct. 13 for Wesleyan’s first hat trick since 2019.

The Salem, W.Va., native was not done as she scored another goal to help WVWC force a draw with No. 15 Concord on Sunday (Oct. 17).

She also took home MEC Offensive Player of the Week honors on March 22, 2021.

WVWC women’s soccer will take on Glenville State away from home on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
