Meyer repeats as MEC Volleyball Player Of The Week

Wheeling Jesuit’s Cassie Meyer has been named the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week for the second-straight week after leading the Cardinals to a 2-0 week.

Meyer, a sophomore from Jackson Center, Ohio, opened the week hitting .429 with 11 kills and eight digs as Wheeling Jesuit picked up a non-conference win over Indiana (Pa.). She then registered a double-double with a career-high 29 kills and 15 digs in a 3-1 road win over Urbana on Saturday. She also had two blocks against the Blue Knights.

Carly Granger (UC) had 20 kills against Concord and had nine more against UVa-Wise … Madison Clayton (WLU) led the Hilltoppers to a 4-0 week hitting .483 with 35 kills and 12 blocks … Madison Davis (UU) had 15 kills against Wheeling Jesuit and 27 more against West Liberty … Imani Rogers (CU) had 22 assists and nine aces in a 1-1 week for the Mountain Lions … Peyton Lindblad (SU) had 17 kills, three digs and two aces in a non-conference win over Jefferson … Yvonne Fullerton (FSU) had 10 kills and two blocks last week against Seton Hill … Erin Daugherty (NDC) had 12 kills and hit .435 in a five-set loss to West Liberty.
