71st Anniversary Season begins at Elkins Raceway

KERENS – Elkins Raceway opened their gates for the 71st Anniversary Season Saturday. The drivers did not disappoint.

New and seasoned drivers pulled into the pits Saturday evening with their race cars in pristine condition. While eager to be behind the wheel as the green flag drops, drivers took their time before hot laps began to prep their machines to perform at its highest potential.

Meanwhile, racing fans gathered on the hill to cheer on their favorite drivers with yummy concession stand food in-hand.

The May 6 feature race winners are as follows:

  • Budweiser Dirt Super Late Models – Logan Hitt
  • TKS Contracting/High Point Construction FASTRAK Crate Late Models – Garret Paugh
  • Holbrook on the Hill UMP Modifieds – Mitch Thomas
  • Louie’s Bargain Barn Street Stocks – Michael Ayersman
  • Cordial Logistics Edge Hot Mods – Dustin Isner

Pit gates will open every Saturday night at 5 p.m. with $30 admission. General admission to the grandstands begins at 6 p.m. with $15 admission. Hot laps will begin at 7:30 p.m.
