Betty Rae Taylor, 80, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Friday, March 15, 2019, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, W.Va.

She was born Feb. 21, 1939, in Upshur County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Wendell and Freda Kelley Tenney.

On June 22, 1959, she married Harry Taylor who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Ronald Taylor of Buckhannon and David Taylor of French Creek, W.Va.; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Taylor of Calif. and Lauren Taylor of Williston, Fla.; two brothers, Charles Tenney and wife Ruth of Virginia Beach, Va. and Clyde Tenney and wife Linda of Buckhannon; two sisters, Patty Andrus and Stacy Suder and husband Fred all of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, David Taylor II, and one brother, John Tenney.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of the Hope’s Point Baptist Church in Weston, W.Va.

In honoring Mrs. Taylor’s wishes she will be cremated and will be buried on the Taylor Family Cemetery in Buckhannon.
