WVWC’s Karasawa Named ITA Atlantic Regional Rookie of the Year

TEMPE, Ariz. – West Virginia Wesleyan tennis player Kihiro Karasawa was picked as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Atlantic Regional Rookie of the Year.
 
Karasawa, hailing from Iizuna, Japan, made an immediate impact on WVWC tennis in his freshman campaign. In his first year with the Bobcats, Karasawa solidified himself as the number one player for his squad. Karasawa was named Mountain East Conference Freshman of the Year and was received First Team All-MEC honors.
 
Eight winners of the Rookie of the Year Award will advance to the national award round. The ITA will announce the national award winners on June 14
