WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital recognizes CNA Week June 15-21

BUCKHANNON, WV – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital recognizes CNA week June 15th through 21st.  CNAs, or Certified Nursing Assistants, began their hard work with the Red Cross in World War I. They were trained to care for wounded soldiers in the field, base, and hospital camps. Today, our CNAs are an important part of our hospital team.  They provide direct care and assist patients with daily living activities.

According to the National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA), the theme for this year is “We’re Unstoppable,” as CNAs have worked so tirelessly (especially over the past three years), overcoming obstacles, and having a positive impact on their patients and residents. St. Joseph’s Hospital would like to extend a thank you to all our CNAs and the hard work they do each day.
