WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital announces Hart as DAISY Award honoree

WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital of Buckhannon staff recently gathered for a special ceremony in recognition of the 2025 DAISY Award winner and fellow nominees.

“The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses is an international program that honors the incredible compassion, dedication, and clinical excellence nurses bring to patient care every day,” according to WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital.

The hospital named Danielle Hart, RN, as the 2025 WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital DAISY Award recipient.

“Danielle Hart is an Emergency Department RN that I have had the pleasure of watching grow in her professional life,” Hart’s nominator shared. “Danielle shows compassion, hospitality, stewardship, reverence, and total dedication to ensure that every patient she encounters has the best care and experience possible during their visit to St. Joseph’s Hospital.”

“Danielle is a role model that stands out and goes that extra mile for her patients and coworkers. She is a representation of St. Joseph’s Hospital’s best: A true DAISY nurse that needs to be recognized for her commitment and dedication,” Hart’s nominator continued.

The DAISY Award nominees were also recognized and celebrated: Lora Hebb, RN; Katie Loudin, RN; Donna Marsh, RN; Cailtin Morgan, CNM, MSN, RN; Taylor Brown, RN; Alicia Cutright, RN; and Kimberly Sparks, RN.
