Women’s Leadership Circle Scholarship Established at GSC

GLENVILLE, WV – Applications are now being accepted for the Women’s Leadership Circle Scholarship. The scholarship, open to all female students at Glenville State College, will be awarded in the spring semester and totals $500. Interested applicants should complete the online form no later than December 10.

“The Women’s Leadership Circle is pleased to sponsor a scholarship to assist female students attending Glenville State College. The Women’s Leadership Circle strives to encourage them to work a little harder and stand a little taller to excel in whatever field they might pursue,” said Karen Lay, Committee Chair for the Women’s Leadership Circle.

The Women’s Leadership Circle (WLC) is a women’s giving circle created and sponsored by the Glenville State College Foundation. Founded on the basis of fellowship, opportunity, and philanthropy, the WLC envisions a community of female givers who provide opportunities and support to female students at Glenville State College. In addition to aiding projects on campus, members will help create a culture of female empowerment on the GSC campus and surrounding community, helping women to prepare for and grow in their careers and leadership positions.

A $500 contribution earns membership into Glenville State College’s WLC. Those who wish to participate as a non-voting member may with a $250 annual contribution. As a thank you for their service to the College, a discounted rate is available for GSC employees under the age of 30 or with less than ten years of employment at $100 annually.
