Willis Clide Peck, 82, of French Creek, died Saturday, December 18, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.  

He was born on August 9, 1939, in Goshen WV, a son of the late Tillman and Dolly Sines Peck.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters:  Patty Chidester, Christine Adams, and Lois Jean McComb; and two brothers:  Roscoe Peck and Ralph Peck. He is survived by one son William Peck; one sister Helen Peck of Rock Cave; and many nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Willis knew of his kind, gentle nature and his ability to put a smile on your face with his quirky sense of humor or by pulling your leg. He had a joy that shined through no matter what the circumstances.  He had a tremendous love for family and enjoyed a game of cards, front porch conversations, or just a quick visit or a phone call with all of them. He spoke fondly of going home to be with his maker and those he loved who went before him.  Home to a better life, his faith was undeniable.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 1-2:00 PM—the funeral hour, with Pastor Barry Noll officiating.  Interment will follow in the Canaan Cemetery.
