Wesleyan tennis teams sweep Kutztown (Pa.) and Bloomsburg (Pa.)

BLOOMSBURG (Pa.) — The West Virginia Wesleyan College men’s and women’s tennis teams swept a pair of opponents on the road Friday and Saturday. The men beat Kutztown on Friday 5-0 then later in the day won a close contest with Bloomsburg University 4-3. The women blanked Kutztown Friday 7-0 and on Saturday, took the victory from Bloomsburg 4-3.

Highlighting the weekend was Emily Lybarger who clinched the decider Saturday for the women in a comeback in the third set.

Head coach Kyle Hoffman said, “Physically we held up well for this early in the season, considering the guys played a double header and the women played a lot of three setters.”

Wesleyan tennis heads to Chowan University Friday, Mar. 1 for a 3 p.m. match.
