Wesleyan Introducing “Bobcat Connect” App

BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan College has always taken great pride in providing numerous opportunities for students.  This fall, Wesleyan is introducing a new app and online database for students, faculty, and staff.  “Bobcat Connect” will provide the campus community an extra tool to centralize student involvement, better understand what type of engagement students want, and positively impact retention by analyzing their needs and expectations.

The new “Bobcat Connect” Presence database will be a quick and easy way for students to explore opportunities on campus, swipe into events, and track their college involvement so it can easily translate into valuable assets for their future.

The Online pathways feature will provide students a step-by-step guide for students to achieve their goals and be empowered by the process.  In addition, faculty and staff will be able to centralize the student experience and collect indicators for assessment.  Through custom filters and reflection tools, it will be simple to create real-time reports and drive improvement for the student experience.

“Bobcat Connect” is funded by the $10 million U.S. Department of Education Title III grant that was awarded to Wesleyan in September of 2014.
