Vonda Lee (Dean) Brandt

Vonda Lee (Dean) Brandt, 63, of Buckhannon, W.Va., passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at her home surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 19, 1957, in Buckhannon, a daughter of Leona Black Dean of Buckhannon and the late William “Dewey” Dean.

On October 6, 1984, she married Terrence “Terry” Brandt of Buckhannon, who survives. In addition to her mother and husband she is also survived by two daughters, Kelly Brandt of Big Island, HI and Kimberly Brandt of Buckhannon; two sons, Patrick Brandt of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Rick Dotson; three grandchildren, Kaylee Phipps, Blaze Phipps and Jacob Dotson; three siblings, Sandra (Dean) Lantz, Joe Dean and David Dean; beloved dogs and cats, Cookie, Cooper, Marla and Murphy and several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lily Phipps.

Mrs. Brandt was a dedicated housekeeper who had many long-term clients who were like family to her. She loved baking and spending time with her grandkids.

Friends will be received Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Sunday 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Friends are welcome to make donations in Mrs. Brandt’s honor to the Lewis-Upshur Humane Society at 318 Mud Lick Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
