Vickie Ann Walton

Vickie Ann Walton, age 71, of Buckhannon went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Cortland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas, WV.

She was born June 15, 1954, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Ural Blaine and Alice June Rice Kellison. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her companion Robert Voras and one sister Karen Sue Kellison. She is survived by one daughter Tiffany and husband Chris Leigh of Buckhannon; one son Houston Walton of Parsons; four grandchildren: Regan Cassidy Leigh, Addison Grace Leigh, Eden Christine Leigh, and Kaylin Shae Walton; and one brother Brad Kellison of Buckhannon.

Vickie was a 1972 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and a 1994 graduate of Davis and Elkins College with a degree in education. She was employed by the Upshur County Board of Education at Washington District Elementary until her retirement. She was a member of the Tennerton Lions Club. Vickie had a cheerful heart and enjoyed assisting those in need in any way she could help.

Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 1-3:00 PM, the funeral hour, with Brother Matthew Hatfield officiating. Private interment will be at a later date at the Rock Cave Cemetery.
