Verlyn Ditty Rexroad

Verlyn Ditty Rexroad, 89, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Monday, December 28, 2020 at Stonerise Nursing Home in Bridgeport, W.Va.

She was born January 30, 1931, in Glenville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Maise and Pearl Young Furr.

She is survived by one son, David W. Rexroad and wife Jackie of Bridgeport, W.Va.; two grandsons, Robert W. Rexroad and wife Liz of Bridgeport and Adam L. Rexroad and wife Marissa of Wilmington, Del.; two great-grandsons, Weldon Rexroad of Bridgeport and Jackson Rexroad of Wilmington; one great granddaughter, Margot Rexroad of Bridgeport; one sister, Rita Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Guy M. Furr and wife Judy of Medina, Ohio and Robert N. Furr of Lodi, Ohio; one special niece, Lori Ward of Buckhannon and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Helen Carr, Wahneta Powell and Leona Tomey and one brother, Larry G. Furr.

Ms. Rexroad was a Baptist by faith, a teacher for many years and spent most of her life as an interior designer.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Heavner Cemetery with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow.
