Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Prevention Resource Office Timothy Menendez recently retired from the W.Va. State Police to join the Upshur County Sheriff's Office.

Upshur Sheriff’s Office welcomes Menendez as B-UMS PRO Officer

BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office would like to welcome Timothy Menendez as the new PRO Officer at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School.

Tim was raised in Gypsy, West Virginia and graduated from Lincoln High School. He decided to follow in the footsteps of three of his older brothers and become a police officer. Tim is a graduate of the 90th West Virginia Basic Police Training Academy.

He worked for the Clarksburg Police Department from 1995-2000 and then began work with the West Virginia State Police. Tim spent over 21 years as a WV State Trooper until his retirement in August 2021. We are excited for Tim to share his knowledge and experience with the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office and Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School.
