Toby David Bennett

Toby David Bennett, age 63, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his home.

He was born August 16, 1959, in Buckhannon, a son of the late David R. and Margaret Smarr Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Keith Phillips.

Surviving are two sons, Michael David Bennett and partner Gregory Moore of West Milford, WV and Anthony Everett Bennett and wife Megan Wiant of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Wyatt David Bennett, Curtis Wayne Bennett, and Kolby Keith Bennett all of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Kenzie Leigh Payne and Isabella Hope Dunlavy both of Buckhannon; two sisters, Sandra Yangeo and husband Frank of Grantown, WV and Debra Phillips of Buckhannon; four nieces, Bobby Joe Bailey of Buckhannon, Kathy Dakan and husband Joe of Kerns, WV , Nicole Tomey and husband Ryan of Buckhannon and Jennifer Ellison Davis of Princeton, WV and two nephews, Tim Phillips and Rob Brecke both of Buckhannon.

Mr. Bennett was a Baptist by faith and worked as an Asphalt Plant Operator. He was an avid horse trader and loved spending time on his farm.

In honoring Toby’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at the farm on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2 PM.
