Thomasa Marelean “Penny” Kelley

Thomasa Marelean “Penny” Kelley, 54, of Helvetia, departed this life Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. 

She was born on December 29, 1965, in Buckhannon, a daughter of Wayne Bruce Hamrick, who survives, and the late Geraldine Cogar Hamrick. On July 15, 1986, she was united in marriage to Robert Jeff Kelley, who survives. 

In addition to her father and her husband, she is survived by two sons: Eric Kelley and wife Ashlee and Justin Kelley and wife Rachel; two daughters: Katrina Kelley and fiancé Wayne (Farmer) McClure and Ceirra Kelley and fiancé Jordan Hammonds; four grandchildren:  Tiffanie and Tori Toler, Jayden Kelley, and Addison Woofter; two sisters:  Angie and husband Steve Stefanov and Mellissa and husband Mike Klahre; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by one granddaughter Brooke Ann Kelley. 

Mrs. Kelley was a member of the Farm Women’s Club, the Pickens Fire Department, and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and she enjoyed volunteering at the Pickens School. Her hobbies included fishing, puzzles, birdwatching, and spending time with her family.

A private graveside service will be held at the Pickens Cemetery.
