BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the baseball or softball diamond, the lacrosse field, the tennis courts or the track.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of March 27 – April 2 are Landon Marple and Jansen Kimble.

Marple is a junior on the Buccaneer baseball team.

Marple had a great week at the plate and on the bases in three games for the Buccaneers. He went 5-for-10 for a .500 batting average while scoring three runs and knocking in four. He also stole five bases.

Kimble is a junior on the Lady Buc softball team.

Kimble was a threat at the plate and in the circle for the Lady Bucs who went 3-0 last week. At the plate, she went 4-for-11 for a .363 average scoring four runs and knocking in two. In the circle, she pitched two complete games and gave up just two earned runs on six this while striking out 14.

Congratulations to Marple and Kimble as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
