Rotary and St. Joseph’s Hospital to hold blood screenings in April and May

The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur and WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital will hold blood screenings on Saturdays on April 12, April 26, May 3 and May 10 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Basic blood profile tests will be offered at $35, with additional testing for thyroid for $5, hemoglobin A1C for $15, colon cancer screening for $5, and prostate testing for $20. An additional test for the Hepatitis C antibody will be offered for $20.

To register for an appointment, go online to https://RotaryBloodScreening.as.me. If you do not have internet access or need assistance, the Mountain CAP Family Support Center at 30 East Main Street — next to CJ Maggie’s Restaurant — or the Upshur County Library located at 1150 Route 20 South in Buckhannon can assist you in registering. Appointments are needed and are available between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur is dedicated to its mission of “Service Above Self.” Proceeds from the blood screenings will be donated to organizations addressing many needs within our community. Members of the club completed over 22 service projects over the past club year of 2024-2025.
