BUCKHANNON — Beginning Monday, Jan. 11, the Buckhannon Water Department will be conducting repairs that require the closure of North Spring Street from the intersection with East Main Street north to Chase Bank Alley.
The closure is expected to last all this week.

The Tallmansville Road bridge is scheduled for replacement in 2028, according to the West Virginia Division of Highways. In the meantime, crews are removing the deteriorated wearing surface and plan to repave it as soon as asphalt is available.

West Virginia State Police are searching for 64-year-old Gabrielle L. Allen of Vienna, last seen shortly after midnight March 15 at a home on Rolling Lane in Elkins. Her belongings were found along US Route 219.
