Steven Wayne Ratliff

Steven Wayne Ratliff, age 68, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his home. He was born May 2, 1956, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Billy Junior and Margaret A. Brown Ratliff.

Mr. Ratliff is survived by his wife, Margaret “Marty” Ratliff of Buckhannon; two daughters, Amy Radabaugh and her husband Jeff of Bridgeport, WV, and April Ratliff of Buckhannon; two stepdaughters, Lisa Talbert and her husband Shawn, and Stacie Biro and her husband Andy, all of Fairmont, WV; three grandchildren, Brynn Radabaugh of Bridgeport, Ellie and Drew Biro of Fairmont; one sister, Diana Mallett of Buckhannon; and one nephew, Andy Bargeloh of Hickory, NC. In addition, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Ratliff Ferrell Carpenter, and two brothers-in-law, Bob Mallett and Christopher Ferrell.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses in the oncology department of St. Joes, and extends a special thank you to Stacey Tolliver and David Jack for their friendship and support. He retired from Columbia Gas after 31 years of service and cherished his time with family, as well as his love for football, basketball, hunting, fishing, bowling, and his beloved dog, Snuggles.

Friends will be received Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 4 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Chad Lewis officiating. In honoring Mr. Ratliff’s wishes, he will be cremated following the service.
