Stanley Carl Glover, age 69, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.

He was born May 5, 1953, in Mobile, AL, a son of the late Bruce Lenard and Wanda Mildred Odom Glover. On December 11, 1983, he married Sherry Murrell Glover who preceded him in death on January 25, 2014.

He is survived by two daughters, Angel Gillum and husband Donald of French Creek, WV and Aimee Glover of Akron, OH; one son, Jonathan Benjamin Glover, NM; several grandchildren; two step daughters, Jordan and Shakiya Clevenger both of Buckhannon; special family, Michelle Shaver and husband James, Jamie Howes and fiancé David Bender all of French Creek and Shannon McCusker and husband Dewayne of Buckhannon; three brothers, Kenneth Wade Glover and wife Terri of Barberton, OH, Andy Glover of Gadsden, AL and Timothy Glover of Cleveland, OH; three sisters, Janice Mayes and husband Bobby of Buckhannon, Sandra DeHollender and husband Bernard of Mobile and Amy Trailer and husband Heath of Gadsden; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Sunshine.

Mr. Glover loved old cars and had a collection of model cars.

Friends will be received Monday, May 1, 2023, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 7 PM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Murrell and the Rev. William Kerns officiating.

In honoring Mr. Glover’s wishes, he will be cremated following the funeral service.
