MORGANTOWN – Facing a formable opponent in Club Mountaineer, the Buckhannon Swim Club Splashers were only to claim 10 events in a dual outing last Tuesday.

The girls won three events while the boys claimed seven titles.

Picking up wins for the girls were Tori Wilsoncroft (U8) in the 25-yard backstroke, Rylee Yardley (13-14) in the 100-yard freestyle and Lena Rose Walker (13-14) in the 50-yard freestyle.

Preston Bennett earned three wins for the boys (15-18) in the 100-yard freestyle, the 100-yard IM and the 50-yard freestyle and Holden Cabrera (U8) also won three events as well in the 50-yard freestyle, the 25-yard backstroke and the 25-yard freestyle.

The other win belonged to Thomas Wilsoncroft (9-10) in the 50-yard freestyle.

My Buckhannon

Club Mountaineer outscored the girls by a 183-48 score while the boys dropped a 170-52 decision.

Both teams were slated to swim last Thursday at home against the Bridgeport Swim Team.

They will be back in action this Tuesday on the road at the Bridgeport County Club for a 6:30 p.m. start.
