FROSTBURG, Md. — The West Virginia Wesleyan (3-5-1, 3-4-0) women’s soccer team dropped a road Mountain East Conference match at Frostburg State (7-2-1, 6-1-1) by a 3-1 final score at Bobcat Stadium on Wednesday.
Frostburg State struck first in the seventh minute and again in the 32nd minute on a goal by Audra Curtin.
The home team led 2-0 at halftime.
In the 78th minute, Curtin found Keely Knotts for Frostburg State’s third goal of the game.
Wesleyan got on the board 10 minutes later when Natalie Pireu crushed a free kick into the top left corner of the net for her fourth goal of the season.
WVWC will travel to Notre Dame (Ohio) for another road test on Sunday (Oct. 10) at 3 p.m. in South Euclid, Ohio.
