Shirley Ellen Lewis, age 89, of Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, May 14, 2023, at her home.
She was born August 27, 1933, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Lee and Lillian Hardway Wilfong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Lewis and her brother, Wallace Wilfong.
She is survived by one niece, Debra Verace and husband Tom of Broken Bow, OK; two nephews, David Wilfong of Chicago, IL and William Wilfong of Buckhannon; three great-nephews and three great-nieces.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. Shirley devoted her life to caring for her husband William and volunteering at St. Joseph’s Hospital gift shop.
In honoring Mrs. Lewis’ wishes, she will be cremated.
