TENNERTON – With the second-quarter title on the line, first place Sam’s Pizza and second place Hank Ellis Insurance squared off on Wednesday in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League.
With Sam’s Pizza holding a one-point lead over Hank Ellis Insurance going into the battle, they downed Hank Ellis Insurance by a 22-18 score to hold on for the second quarter title.
Sam’s Pizza finished the second quarter with 113 points and Hank Ellis Insurance closed out the second quarter with 118 points.
Highland Landscaping lost a 20 ½-19 ½ decision to Feola’s Flowers but still finished in third place with 106 points.
First Community Bank jumped up two spots to finish fourth after a 23-17 victory over Custom Cabinets with 104 points.
In the other two matches of the week, High Point Construction defeated Baker Tilly by a 21-15 score and Lisa Cain Edward Jones beat Sealcoat Concepts by a 21 ½-18 ½ count.
Chris Brady of High Point Construction earned Low Actual honors with a 35 while Forrest Elmore of Custom Cabinets brought home Low Net honors with a 31.
