Rotary, St. Joseph’s Hospital annual blood screenings set for March 30, April 6

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The Rotary Club of Buckhannon and St. Joseph’s Hospital will hold blood screenings on Saturday, March 30 and Saturday, April 6 at the Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School and at the Community Care Clinic in Rock Cave.

In addition, St. Joseph’s Hospital will host a health fair with a variety of free screenings and information on Saturday, April 6 at the middle school. Free screenings will include bone density testing, vein testing, glucose level testing, oxygen testing and blood pressure testing.

The blood screening will be held from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will offer Basic Blood Profile tests for only $35, a savings of 90 percent.  Optional testing for colon cancer and thyroid screening is available for an additional $5, PSA testing for $20, and Hemoglobin A1C for diabetes for $15. No appointments are needed and fasting for 12 hours is required prior to testing. Bring cash or a personal check for payment. 

A physician’s name is no longer required. All results will be sent to your home. If you have any questions, please follow up with your family physician.
