Robert Lee “Bob” Reed

Robert Lee “Bob” Reed, age 87, of Buckhannon, died Friday, October 7, 2022, at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon.

He was born May 4, 1935, a son of the late David Cecil and Helen See Reed. He was married on February 18, 1961, to Helen Lea Westfall Reed, who survives. Also surviving are five children: Robert Reed and wife Jennifer, Steven Reed, Sandra Reed and wife Susan, Donna Reed, and Thomas Reed; two sisters: Marjorie Eggert and husband William and Nancy Sheetz; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Robert was valedictorian of his high school graduating class. Robert was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and received his accounting degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He worked as an accountant at Moore Business Forms and was also self-employed at Reed Enterprises.

In accordance with his wishes, the body was cremated. Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the Reed Cemetery on Lee Glass Road. A luncheon will follow at the Reed Chapel Church; if you plan to attend, kindly reserve with Donna at 304-516-9322. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
