Robert Jackson Strader

Robert Jackson Strader, age 73, of Rock Cave, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born on August 29, 1949, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Ray Rudolph and Neva Jean McKisic Strader. 

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Macsonia Lynn (Shreve) Strader; two sons:  Robert (Robin) Strader of Bridgeport and Kevin (Shelley) Strader of Buckhannon; one brother James (Sharon) Strader of Buckhannon; one sister Beverly (Gary) Jeskie of Wichita, KS; three grandchildren:  Mitch and Seth Strader, both of Bridgeport, and Alecsis Butler of Buckhannon; two great grandchildren:  Baylee and Beau Strader, both of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a 1967 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School.  He served as President of the Tri-County Health Clinic Board of Directors in 1997, and retired from the Clinic in 2012.

The family will receive friends at the Heaston United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 1-2:00 PM; a funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow in the Heaston Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heaston Cemetery Association, c/o Alice Andrew, 4361 Heaston Ridge Road, Crawford, WV 26343.
