Rita Ann Anderson-Huffman

Rita Ann Anderson-Huffman, 81, passed away on December 19, 2021, in Elkins, WV.

She was born in Webster Springs on March 13, 1940, a daughter of the late Ferry Snowden and Vera M. Cutlip Anderson. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Dae Burnside.

Forever cherishing their memories of Rita’s giving nature are two daughters: Sonja Beeson and husband, Glen “Rick”, of Buckhannon and Michelle Curry and husband, Rick, of Columbia, TN; one sister, Mary Russell and husband, John, of Buckhannon; two brothers: Larry and Harry Anderson both of Rock Cave; six grandchildren: Brandi Beeson of Elkins, Amber “Nikki” Coleman and husband, Jimmy, of Buckhannon, Brandon Beeson of Buckhannon, Jason Beeson-Bertelli and wife, Alaina, of Belington, James “Dillon” Summers of Buckhannon, and Karista Summers of Buckhannon; and eight great grandchildren.

Rita lived her life as a devout Christian. She attended nursing school and was a nurse’s aide for Crestview Manor in Jane Lew for several years. Rita enjoyed reading the Bible daily, going fishing, and watching television:  Gunsmoke, game shows, and Pastor Charles Stanley. She also enjoyed brown beans and cornbread at T & L Hotdogs. Spending time with her family was her favorite pastime.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Graveside Services will follow the visitation in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton with Pastor Chad Lewis officiating.
