Reminder: Deadline to apply for city police job is Jan. 11

Are you interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement?

The Buckhannon Police Department currently has a position open, but the deadline to apply is just around the corner.

Applications for the position of Probationary Police Officer with the Buckhannon City Police department are currently being accepted. The closing date for applications is 4:30 p.m. on January 11, 2019. Applications must be received or postmarked by that time.

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and no older than 45 at time of application.
  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent and have no convictions of misdemeanors, felonies or serious traffic offenses on their backgrounds.

The Buckhannon Police Department offers a competitive salary, paid sick leave and vacation time.

Applications may be picked up at City Hall, 70 E. Main Street between Monday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For applications by email call the Buckhannon Police Department at 304-472-5723.
