Regina Mae Tenney

Reginia Mae Tenney, age 82, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, June 21, 2024, at Holbrooks Nursing Home. 

She was born June 6, 1942, a daughter of the late George D. and Nellie Marie Davis Lantz. She married Claude Marion Tenney of Ellamore on June 7, 1963, who preceded her in death on May 19, 2021. Also preceding her in death were her father, George Lantz; mother, Nellie Lantz; three brothers, Charles Lantz and Robert Lantz of Ellamore, and Bradford Lantz of OH and three sisters, Margie Kelley of Ellamore, Ann Norman of Buckhannon and Carolyn Helmick of Parsons.

She is survived by three sisters, Ramona Zickefoose and husband Ted of Ellamore, Marlene Young and husband John of Ellamore and Ilene Malcolm of Volga; two brothers, Ronald Lantz of KY and Eugene (Jake) Lantz of Ellamore; a special sister-in-law, Janet Lantz of Ellamore; good friend and companion, George of Holbrooks, and several nieces and nephews.

Regina was a Christian by faith and attended Fairview Church at Kedron. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing the abundance with friends and neighbors. She worked alongside her husband doing construction work for years. They also did woodworking in their shop. She loved making quilts and canning.

Friends will be received at Mt. Union Church on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM, the funeral hour, with Pastor Greg Miller and the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery in Buckhannon.
