BUCKHANNON – Look good, feel good and even lose weight, thanks to a medical wellness company based in North Central West Virginia.

ReNewU Beauty & Wellness was established in Buckhannon in July 2023 by owners Jason Hosaflook, CRNA, APRN; J.D. Wolfe, CRNA, APRN, and Dave Lebac, Medical Director, as an offshoot of local wellness company RevIVeU based in Bridgeport.

Hosaflook has been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in North Central West Virginia for more than 20 years.

“J.D. [Wolfe] is a CRNA like me,” Hosaflook said. “We’ve actually gone to school together since middle school. We went to middle school, high school, and nursing school together. The only thing we didn’t do together was anesthesia school. [J.D. has] been on me for years to come in with him to start a branch somewhere – or down here [in Upshur County] – but we actually opened up in July and have been running since then.”

ReNewU offers semaglutide medical weight loss injections, Adipex weight loss management, Botox/dermal filler injection therapy and IV hydration therapy. Hosaflook told My Buckhannon that the company plans to offer additional services for clients as demand allows; for example, alpha-lipoic acid treatments for diabetic neuropathy sufferers.

Semaglutide, also known by its brand names “Wegovy” or “Ozempic,” is an FDA-approved once-weekly diet weight loss injection.

“A lot of people want to be on [semaglutide] for their weight loss, and a lot of people get it approved from their doctor for weight loss, but the problem is that their insurance doesn’t cover it,” Hosaflook said. “We give a much more affordable option for semaglutide.”

Adipex is an FDA-approved medication used for weight loss that works to suppress your appetite and increase energy levels, according to information provided by RenewU. With proper diet and exercise, Adipex can help you achieve a healthier lifestyle.

ReNewU Botox and filler services provide a minimally invasive way to reduce wrinkles and fine lines and improve the look of your skin, the company said. All Botox and dermal filler procedures are performed in the comfort of the ReNewU office and require minimal downtime.

The IV hydration treatments are a way to replenish your body with fluids and vital nutrients, according to ReNewU. The IV treatments can boost energy levels, fight anxiety and depression, offer hangover relief and help alleviate dehydration, fatigue, and other ailments.

“IV hydration is good for a multitude of different wellness issues,” Hosaflook said. “Just from basic energy to helping with autoimmune diseases or helping recover from illnesses or pain. We all walk around in a dehydrated state. With our diets nowadays, we are all nutrient deficient, whether we know it or not.”

See the ReNewU website for example IV Cocktails.

Free consultations are available for all services. Clients are encouraged to ask questions about ReNewU services to achieve the best outcome for their individual needs.

“We want [our clients] to have a relaxed, personable experience,” Hosaflook said. “We’re a smaller community, so most everybody knows everybody or is connected to somebody in some way. As far as I’m concerned, this is a business, but it’s another way to help serve the community with the services that people would like to have or wish to have.

“I get a lot of people in that say, ‘Oh, I don’t have to drive to Bridgeport or Clarksburg or Morgantown now, so that’s great.’ They’re coming in not to just see a medical professional or a business guy, they’re coming in to see a friend that’s helping them with an issue.”
