BUCKHANNON — The Upshur-Buckhannon Health Department sent out a press release Oct. 30 to inform quarantined community members that they may still vote.

Those individuals need to call the Upshur County Clerk’s office at 304-472-1068 and notify them that they are quarantined. The office will then verify that information with the Upshur-Buckhannon Health Department, and special considerations are in place to allow quarantined individuals to safely cast their ballots.

Being in quarantine does not mean a person is a positive case and no one will know a quarantined person’s status unless they disclose it.
