BUCKHANNON — The Mountain CAP Family Support Center, in collaboration with Play To Grow Occupational Therapy, will be offering free playgroups for autistic children beginning on Thursday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and Thursday, Jan. 25 from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The group will allow children to play with other children in a neurodiverse, affirming setting and focuses on developmental ages 2 through 5. Children with a higher chronological age but who are developmentally between the ages of 2 and 5 are also eligible to participate.
Parents are required to remain in the building for the duration of the sessions.
