Patty Stalnaker, 87, of Buckhannon went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Serenity Hope Assisted Living Facility in Good Hope, WV. She was born on September 30, 1934, in Upshur County a daughter of the late Benjamin and Oma Cochran Strader. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin “Forrest” Stalnaker, grandchild Adam Scott Landes, one sister Betty June Bailey and son-in-law, Robert “Bob” McGhee.
She is survived by three daughters: Saundra Kay Stalnaker Hill of Bridgeport, Melanie Stalnaker McGhee and Partner, Duane Christensen of Buckhannon, and Melinda Curry and husband Ken Curry of Bridgeport. Grandchildren, Jason and wife Hillary, Jeremy and partner, Karin, Bruce, Colleen (Michelle), Zachary and wife Kristina, Brianna and husband, Brandon, and Chad. Great grandchildren Emma, Jack, Delaney, Theodore “Teddy”, Evelyn “Evie”, Augustus “Gus”, Archer, and Elias.
Patty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buckhannon
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 5-8 PM. Graveside Services and interment will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Buckhannon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. The family has requested that everyone attending visitation and graveside services please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
