Orval Lee Peyatt

Orval Lee Peyatt, 84, of Buckhannon, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Mon Health Medical Centerl in Morgantown.

He was born in Craigsville on April 3, 1941, a son of the late William Daniel Peyatt and Deloris Eloise Justice Peyatt. Orval was also preceded in death by two step daughters: Helen Arbogast and Pamela Hayes and one infant son, David Ulysses Peyatt. On September 7, 1973 he married Madeline Opal Gould, together they raised a family.

Forever cherishing their memories of Orval with his wife are four children: Judy Macmaster and husband, Robert, Ivy Smith and husband, Ron, Homer Peyatt, and Jonathan Peyatt all of Buckhannon; two step children: Charles Arbogast, Jr. of Tennessee and Cathy Arbogast of Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers: Gile Peyatt and wife, Rosemary, of Richwood and Carl Peyatt and wife, Deborah, of Ohio.

Orval worked for Woody’s at the sawmill for many years. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his family whom he loved very much.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made directly to Clutter Funeral and Cremation. Mail donations to 21 Elnora Circle, Buckhannon, WV  26201. Direct Burial has taken place.
