Michael Wayne Sims, age 43, of Clarksburg, WV, died Friday, April 17, 2026, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.
He was born December 3, 1982, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of Barbara Sims Cerullo of Buckhannon and the late Gary Elliott. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Marshall Cerullo.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Richard Cerullo and wife Jennifer Small of Buckhannon; two nieces, Tegan Page and Peyton Cerullo, both of Buckhannon; a friend, Ryan; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michael loved family get-togethers, spending time with his family, and he loved animals.
In honoring Michael’s wishes, he will be cremated.
