Michael Christopher Hinchman

Michael Christopher Hinchman, 37, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Monday, October 26, 2020 at his home.

He was born August 21, 1983, in Harrison County, W.Va., a son of Tommy and Debra Linger Hinchman both of Buckhannon.

On October 15, 2011, he married Francis Rigby who survives.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by one daughter, Trayka Hinchman of Buckhannon; three sons, Leeland, Bryson and Noah Hinchman all of Buckhannon; one grandson, Creedance McCartney of Buckhannon; two brothers, TJ Hinchman and wife Lisa and Josh Hinchman and Janna Rice all of Buckhannon and one niece, Torie Hinchman of Buckhannon.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Reda Hinchman and great-grandmother, Virgie Hinchman, who will both be waiting for Michael at Heaven’s Gates. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Russ Hinchman.

Michael was a worker in the Oilfield Service. Through his life he loved four wheeling, especially later in life with his kids. Michael loved visiting his daughter and grandson. He enjoyed riding dirt bike and was an avid Jeep and Harley Davidson fan. Michael loved caving with his sons and brothers, fish, camp and weld.

Friends will be received Monday, November 2, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. In honoring Michael’s wishes he will be cremated following the services.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
