TENNERTON – Following a month off due to the rain and saturated greens the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League resumed play on Wednesday, and it has a new leader sitting atop of the standings.
Custom Cabinets rose from third place to first place after a 27 ½-12 ½ win over Feola’s Flowers with 71 points.
High Point Construction held down second place with a 24-16 victory over Lynx WV with 68 points.
Hank Ellis Insurance, last week’s leader, dropped to third place with 67 ½ points despite a 21-19 win over Lisa Caid Edward Jones.
Sunset Graphics dropped one spot from third to fourth with 62 ½ points following a 19-17 win over Highland Landscaping.
In the other match of the week, First Community Bank downed Sam’s Pizza by a 19-17 score.
Brian Gaudet of Custom Cabinets won Low Actual honors with a 36 and Gaudet, along with Hank Ellis, of Hank Ellis Insurance tied for Low Net honors with a 32s.
