CHARLESTON — A 47-year-old man was found dead in Henlawson, W.Va. on Monday, according to a press release from the West Virginia State Police.

“On January 8, 2024, Trooper E. H. Bennett and members of the WVSP Logan Detachment responded to a wooded area adjacent to the railroad tracks in the community of Henlawson, WV, after a dead body was discovered by railroad employees,” the release states. “The preliminary investigation revealed no signs of external trauma suffered by the victim, identified as Roberta Lynn Watts, 47, of Henlawson, WV.

“The victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Charleston, WV. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.  This investigation remains active and ongoing.”
