Madeline J. Heater

Madeline J. Heater, age 87, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, February 26, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born April 27, 1937, in Lewis Co., WV, a daughter of the late William and Minnie Butcher.

On July 24, 1960, she married Rev. Jerry D. Heater, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2015. She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Connie Heater LaFontaine, Alicia & Kenny Willett, and Glenda & Herb Eckes.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Patricia Heater, her daughter Charlotte Harris, her son-in-law Brian LaFontaine, and several brothers & sisters.

Surviving immediate family includes: three grandsons, Josh & Zeke Willett and Jason Daughtery, three granddaughters, Sarah Bennett and Courtney & Casey Eckes, and a brother, Charles Butcher. Madeline also leaves behind several great grandchildren.

Madeline devoted her life to her Savior, husband, children, and grandchildren. Her love and dedication to her family was unsurpassed. She was steadfast in her faith and commitment to Christ, and she attended the Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon.

A private funeral for immediate family was held, with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial followed in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, WV.

Poling St. Clair Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
