Linda Diane Farnsworth

Linda Diane Farnsworth, age 71, of Buckhannon, died Monday, October 9, 2023, at her home. 

She was born June 29, 1952, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Harry Newton and Areta Madeline Gooden Wilfong. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Farnsworth. 

She was united in marriage on April 21, 1972, to Harold Farnsworth, who survives.  Linda is also survived by two sons:  Michael Farnsworth and wife Amy of Buckhannon and Danny Farnsworth and wife Kristin of Bridgeport; one daughter Michelle and husband Joshua Catlett of Cross Junction, Virginia; five grandchildren:  Hailey, Catalina and Levi Farnsworth, Brooklyn Devers and Emily Catlett; three sisters:  Sharon Shaw and Monica Winemiller, both of Buckhannon, and Lisa and husband David Hopkins of Summersville, WV.

Linda was a 1970 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School. She was retired from the Upshur County Board of Education where she served as a head cook/cafeteria manager. Linda was a member of the Buckhannon Chapter #18 Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed camping and loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 12-1:00 PM, the funeral hour, with Pastor Eugene Helmick officiating.  Interment will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park.
