Lavinna Fay Bender

Lavinna Fay Bender, 59, of the Alexander Road, French Creek, died Monday, January 25, 2021, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.  

She was born on December 8, 1961, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Darius Bender and Effie Butcher Bender Lewis. 

She is survived by her lifelong partner Roy Cobb; one daughter Amanda and husband Jake Brass of Buckhannon; one grandson Eric Brass of Buckhannon; one sister Daisy Ware of Buckhannon; and four brothers:  Dave Bender and wife Ione, Leon Bender and wife Darlene, and Randy Bender, all of Buckhannon, and George Huffman and wife Judy of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters:  Easter Wingate, Donna Baughman, and Eden Bender.

In honoring her wishes, the body will be cremated.
