Kendrick Garrett “Kick” Bonner

Kendrick Garrett “Kick” Bonner, age 29, of French Creek, died Monday, August 8, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

He was born in Buckhannon on February 22, 1993, a son of Kenneth N. and Cathy L. Huffman Bonner, who survive.  In addition to his parents, he is also survived by two sons:  Emerick Glenn and Kade Colson Bonner; two sisters:  Adara Dawn and husband Clinton Walton and Chelsea Morgan and husband James Hebb, both of Buckhannon; paternal grandmother Mona Cook; two nephews:  Keldon and Brock Walton; special aunt Tammy Huffman; special cousin Justin Roy; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Doris Junior Bonner and maternal grandparents Everett and Mabel Huffman.

Kendrick was a 2011 graduate of the Buckhannon-Upshur High School.  He was an excellent cook and enjoyed listening to music.  He loved spending time with his sons and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 3-5:00 PM; with a memorial service beginning at 5:00 PM, with Pastor David Jessie officiating.  Friends may join the family on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 4:00 PM, at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery for interment.  Those attending are encouraged to dress casually, as Kendrick would have done. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
