Kelcel Myron Oldaker

Kelcel Myron Oldaker, 92, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at his home.

He was born January 19, 1927, in Cumberland, Md., a son of the late Monzell E. Oldaker and Anna Sines Oldaker Cutright.

He is survived by his wife Duetta Oldaker of 70 years, whom he married on May 4, 1949. 

Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara Sue Eakins and husband James of Newton Falls, Ohio and Debra Labuz of Buckhannon; five granddaughters, Briana Genova of Ohio, Barisa Carter and husband John of Lordstown, Ohio, Mandi Neely and husband Dave of French Creek, W.Va., Janna Myers and husband Mike of Huntington, W.Va. and Katie Johnson of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Jamie Oldaker of Buckhannon, Jeffrey Oldaker and wife Melissa of S.C. and Joshua Labuz of Buckhannon; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and four nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Jo Oldaker Hardman; one son, James Oldaker; one granddaughter, Angela Renea Oldaker Smith; two sisters, Erma Whittington and Christine Winters and stepfather, Charles Cutright.

Mr. Oldaker served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He loved hunting and being outdoors.

Mr. Oldaker had a WONDERFUL sense of humor and was always joking around. Mr. Oldaker was a faithful and honest husband and father and will be sadly missed.

He was a school bus driver and retired as a truck driver from the WV Dept. of Highways. Mr. Oldaker was a member of the Living Word Church of God in Buckhannon.

Friends will be received Sunday, January 19, 2020, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Frank Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorentz Cemetery in Lorentz, W.Va. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct full Military Honors at the gravesite.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
