Joseph Francis Mikulin

Joseph Francis Mikulin, 45, of Westland, Michigan passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.

He was born in Trenton, MI, on February 6, 1980, the beloved son of Carol Ann Hensell Mikulin and the late Richard Thomas Mikulin.

He was a loving father to Brevin Mikulin, Joseph Mikulin, and Cearah Howard, and a doting grandfather to Anastasia, Issac, and Joseph. His cherished sister, Tracey Klauza, also survives him. Joseph’s family was the cornerstone of his existence. His love for them was as vast as the universe and as deep as the ocean. His legacy will continue to thrive through them.

Joseph was a diligent and accomplished diesel mechanic in the trucking industry, a profession he chose not just for the nuts and bolts, but for the metaphorical resonance it held for him. It can be said, “Life is like an engine. It runs on the fuel of love, needs regular maintenance of kindness and can overcome any obstacle with the right tools of perseverance and resilience.” His love for his work was only surpassed by his love for his family and the great outdoors. A seasoned bush camper, Joseph found peace and solace in the heart of nature, often retreating to the wilderness to recharge and reconnect with the world in its raw, unfiltered form.

Friends and family will gather for visitation on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Clutter Funeral and Cremation, located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon, WV. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Dale Community Church in Selbyville, WV, with Pastor Allen Burnsworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery in Selbyville.
