James “Jimmy” Esley Hayes Jr.

James “Jimmy” Esley Hayes Jr., 68, of the Gaines community, died at his home on Friday, August 7, 2020.  He was born in Buckhannon on July 29, 1952, a son of the late James Esley Hayes, Sr. and is survived by his mother Carol Lane Hayes of Rock Cave. 

In addition to his mother he is survived by one sister Deborah and husband David “Willie” Wilfong of French Creek and one brother Jackie A. Hayes and companion Agnes Barnett of Rock Cave; two nephews:  Trenton and wife Megann Hayes and Austin Hayes; several aunts, uncles, and cousins survive.

Jimmy was a graduate of Webster County High School and Glenville State College.  He loved his animals and enjoyed music and watching television.  He was good with electronics and was one of the kindest souls you would meet.   He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Rock Cave Cemetery with Pastor David Jessie officiating.
