‘Heart of the Holidays’ program supports Mon Health System, Vandalia Health employees

Nate James, System Director of Employee & Workforce Engagement for Mon Health System, receives departmental donations to assist employees and their families as part of Vandalia Health’s “Heart of the Holidays” program.

Vandalia Health’s Mon Health System and Davis Health System staff embraced the season’s spirit by supporting employees facing financial hardship through the “Heart of the Holidays” program.

“As an organization, we believe in the power of compassion. The ‘Heart of the Holidays’ program reflects our ongoing commitment to caring for our employees, especially during the holidays, a time that can be challenging for so many,” said Nate James, System Director of Employee & Workforce Engagement for Mon Health System.

The “Heart of the Holidays” program matches employee families with sponsoring departments to provide clothing, toys and food for each member of the household, bringing joy and relief during the holiday season.

First introduced by Vandalia Health’s Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) in 2010, the “Heart of the Holidays” initiative continues to grow systemwide, assisting 90 CAMC families this year and 48 families across Mon Health and Davis Health systems, Vandalia Health’s northern region.
