TENNERTON – Hank Ellis Insurance made a late surge to claim the third-quarter title in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League.
Three points behind last week’s leader Lisa Cain Edward Jones and in second place, Hank Ellis Insurance defeated Sam’s Pizza by a 24-16 score to claim the title with 110 ½ points.
Lisa Cain Edward Jones dropped to second place with 109 points after a 22 1/2-17 ½ setback to Highland Landscaping, who finished third in the third quarter with 105 points.
Custom Cabinets moved up to fourth place after a 24-16 victory over High Point Construction.
The other match of the week was Feola’s Flowers downing First Community Bank by a 23-17 score.
Stephen Jeran of High Point Construction brought home Low Actual honors with a 36 while Jerry Cochran of Custom Cabinets and Butch Hyre of Feola Flowers won Low Net honors this week with identical 31s.
